Find your mojo, Dan. I'm here for it. You are a positive force in our trade and we need more people like you. Huge fucking congrats on giving the MW a wallop and if you want to go for it again, do it. All the best.

Please keep at it, review if possible and keep writing. I know after failing a couple of parts for the diploma I sort of walked away from it and now bitterly regret not pushing on. I wish you all the luck going forward.

No one thinks about wine the way Dan Kirby thinks about wine. No one writes about wine the way Dan Kirby writes about wine. Your voice. That voice. Not passing must indeed feel horrible. I would feel horrible too. But not passing does not diminish that unique and necessary voice.

I have a friend who died of a heart attack 200m from the summit of Everest. He as like you wanted to climb the highest mountain in the world, no reason other than saying he did it. At least you're alive !

Worth reflecting on a few things. The WSET and MW are well positioned business'. ( tax efficient etc ) Do you know or imagine what their turn over is ? How many want to join the club ?. They are wine political e.g filling the gaps where MW's are missing . Keeping paying the money and you will get the ticket !

Find your Mojo and continue to write... after all, there are many influencers out there who have no background in the wine industry and who even come close to your experiences. And do NOT end your subscriptions......I manage a nonprofit wine education page as a former wine broker in Chicago, and I have no formal wine credentials. and have successfully grown the followers from 637 to over 11.7K, and have never received compensation from the page or from most of the followers......I just keep believing in myself and plod onward.....And it did help me receive the notice of PIX.wine that led to a position until the investors pulled the plug.....March on! FYI, I have reposted this chapter on my Twitter page, personal page, and my Fine Wines Buzz page. Cheers and as my Australian ex once said,"Don't let the bastards get you down." Cheers! https://www.facebook.com/groups/FineWinesBuzz/?tn-str=*F
